Resolve PST Issue While Adding Contacts Using Mail Merge Feature!

Microsoft Outlook is a great application which has powerful contact management features. Using this feature user can store and organize their important contacts easily. All the contacts are stored in ‘contact folder’ of MS Outlook which is used as input data for mail merge feature. But sometimes Outlook users fail to add contacts to a mail merge document because of Outlook profile or PST corruption. Consider a scenario in which user tries to insert contacts from MS Outlook’s PST file using mail merge feature in one of his MS Word document.   • Delete corrupted user profile to create the new one or attach the older PST profile to it.

  • If the problem still persists, then repair the damaged and corrupted PST file using Inbox Repair Tool (Scanpst.exe).

Further more if, Scanpst.exe also fails to repair the PST file then you need to restore the PST file from the last backup of MS Outlook, if it is present.
